The trustee of the society Dr. Purushottamji Thote founded the Ganpatrao Thote Seva Sanstha in 1991
Through this trust he founded A small unit of “YASHWANTRAO THOTE MONTESSORI TEACHERS TRAINING INSTITUTE (YTMTTI)”, first institute to meet the pressing need for scientific training in social work.
At that time in the peak years of his life simultaneously he was devoting his professional knowledge and started Purushottam Thote College of Social Work in 1993
